About

I am a fourth year Ph.D. student at UIC. My advisor is Kevin Tucker.
Previously, I was an undergraduate at CMI and graduated in 2018 with a B.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science.

In Summer 2022 I am a Data Science intern at The Bee Corp . I work with their Research and Data Scientists to refine or develop new machine learning and image processing algorithms. In Spring 2023 I expect to be on the academic job market seeking a postdoctoral position.

Research Interests

I am interested in commutative algebra. The problems I am currently working on are closely related to (if not, the) absolute integral closures and has applications to the study of singularities in all characteristics.

Publications and Preprints

Comments, suggestions, and questions welcome. Website version will be the most up-to-date. I encourage you to read introductions, even if you are not working in algebra!

Teaching

I endorse Federico Ardila's axioms. In addition I try to ensure that the agency in my classrooms rests with the students.

Current Teaching

I am not teaching in Summer 2022.

Past Teaching

I was a counselor at the Ross-Asia Mathematics program in Huangshan, Anhui, China, in the summers of 2017 and 2018. I led discussion sessions.

I have taught at Math Circles of Chicago (donate!)

Seminars

During my graduate studies at UIC, I have given talks at Graduate Algebraic Geometry Seminar.
I have given (expository) talks at IISER Pune.
In winter 2020, I also gave a talk at (student seminar) TIFR.
